A Passing Soul's Wish Poem by Mukul Ganesh

A Passing Soul's Wish

Advancing into a realm of mystery, this soul longs for a moment longer with thee, still young to be wise it arrives at this impasse of uncertainty, pondering over love and its fee.

Immersed into this puddle of nostalgic tranquility, it lost heed of time and its demon, whilst drowning in calmness it fails to breathe the air of sanity, as the addiction of this trace grants peeks of freedom.

Buried was it in the mirage of trust, as it embraced thee with an essence of purity, an emotion and a promise alive yet orphaned to rust, for this love of thee hath yielded only pain and misery.

Knelt at the brink of eternity it glares back at the light, longing to save the infant of love that once was held sacred to thee, it waits a moment longer in despair at this graving height, bound is it within this naked and bare mortal confines of me.
