A Pause In Turmoil Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

A Pause In Turmoil

Across the sea of turmoil
When hope is dim
Life, a stinking pile of mess
The glow of the sun gone
The moonlight undressed
Darkness breeding more darkness
Covid-19 outbreak spreading like a wildfire
There is a semblance of hope
A remarkable miracle emerging from the ashes
A new era in the classroom of knowledge
Servants of hope gather their strength
Across the plains of the world
To pave a new path of life
A mirror of hope erected
To hide the canvas of horrible memories
It's time for schools to reopen
And the soldiers of knowledge
Are matching on
To address the gaping hole in the curriculum
And undress the path of hope
It's true, the scourge of covid-19 outbreak is still out there
All hands on deck
Teachers are braving the uncharted terrain
To feed the gaping mouth of our children
It's never too late
To plant the seeds of knowledge

Happy Teachers' Day! ! !
