A Place I Knew Poem by Gina Albiek

A Place I Knew

Rating: 5.0

I feel
My own being
My breath
Feels heavy
I feel them, I feel you
I look at the sky
It's no longer so blue
Take me
Away to that place
Where dreams come true
Somewhere there
I'll find my way too

I've been told
It isn't so bad
That somewhere
In this world
There are others
Like me and you
It isn't true
Take me
Away to that place
Where my hope flew
Somewhere there
I'll find my way too

They're coming to take me
They're coming to take you
I've got little time
To save what's left
Of me and you
I look out the window
They're here
Take me
Away to that place
With a heavenly view
Somewhere there
I'll find my way too

Marching up and down
Treading on me
Treading on my body
They've come here
Knocking on my door
They've come here
Take me
Away to that place
Where it's safe and new
Somewhere there
I'll find my way too

I hear footsteps
Crushing down the stairs
The door, the floor,
The door,
The once safe place
They're here
It's no longer there
It's too late
To take me
Away to that place
Where dreams come true
Somewhere there
I could've found my way too

With each breath feeling self is nice. Looking at sky this is no longer blue and signs of dangers are felt here. Looking at the window we can guess the changes. Dangers come and go away. Only we need to stabilize mind and feel. We hope joy will come soon. An amazing sharing is done really...10
