A Poesy For Pamela Poem by Richard Weissman

A Poesy For Pamela

Rating: 5.0

How mind struggles to express what my heart feels so effortlessly,
A love that warms ‘spite cold of Valentine's morning,
A love that strengthens yearly,
With every glance, in each laugh, with touch electric.
How can I express this love unwavering and timeless?
This love that lights darkest night and comforts when logic and reason fail.
That blossoms to selflessness transcendent of whitest visions and brings one full circle to other in love.
Though it's known from outset that words will fall short,
Since love so pure and multi-faceted can never be webbed in a phrase,
Love itself drives the pen forward,
To concretize life's fleeting moments,
As lakes seek images to reflect,
So too love yearns for expression,
Be it rhymed in verse or
Whispered to an ear,
"I love you"
Stands clear,
Cuts through,
And heals all.
