A prayer

My plea - petition -
To reach selfless passions -
To attain spirit-filled peaks -
To gain control over principalities -
And - to live life in your light of lights.

To get over my odds thro‘ur words
Let my daily plights vanish at your words
See me thro‘ my fears via your faithful words
Let me pass my moment in soberness -
Let my heart throbs for more of you.

That I might say with confidence -
I have played my part -
I have fought the good fight of faith -
I have done the ideal in truth and hope -
And - then shout aloud - I am fulfilled by Grace.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

The inspiration came when I woke up in the cool of the morning...while on my bed having my quiet time. The inspiration flows in like a stream after I read a portion of the holy bible - peter chapter 4, to be specific. It‘s all about endtime brace-up for christians. I find the need to make this prayer also, after reading through an internet christian article...

Poem of the Day

poet Helen Hunt Jackson

The month of carnival of all the year,
When Nature lets the wild earth go its way,
And spend whole seasons on a single day.
The spring-time holds her white and purple dear;
