A Rhymer By Nature Poem by Francis Duggan

A Rhymer By Nature

Rating: 5.0

A rhymer by nature and a rhymer by name
I have lost any desire for literary fame
In the early nineteen seventies going way back in time
On my twenty seventh year of life i penned my first rhyme
I repeat here what i have often said before
I write rhymes for enjoyment and little else more
If i did not enjoy doing it i would give it away
So i hope to be doing it until my last living day
It is easy to write rhymes in truth i can say
There are millions of my sort in the World of today
I loved reading rhymes when i was a schoolboy
And writing them today i do thoroughly enjoy
Mine will never become a well known literary name
I just write for enjoyment without desire for fame.
