A Searching Soul Poem by Billy Loving

A Searching Soul

A life worthwhile or meaningless
The quandary, I must confess
Sometimes joyfulness surrounds
Other times, loneliness and callousness confounds
Dark, dreary days so blue
Despair could easily subdue
Blindly down the path I travel
As my life's story continues to unravel

Faith puts one foot in front of the other
A searching soul unable to cover
To find my niche in life
My way to allay the strife
One day a wife to share the joy and pain
Unending hope that keeps me sane
At times on wings of eagles, I glide
Till the end, I'll let the Lord be my guide

One day a wife to share the joy and pain Unending hope that keeps me sane At times on wings of eagles, I glide Till the end, I'll let the Lord be my guide Verily, hope is the steroid that energizes our efforts and keeps us on track to realize our goal.
