A Single Candle Poem by Hannah McGill

A Single Candle

Rating: 5.0

In a place where the sun doesn't reach
Where love and innocense is lost
Danger and deceit fills every cornor till you can't see
A place darker than the blackest coffee
Within the darkness, a single candle burns
The only light for miles
Then mixed with in the darkness and fear,
A new feeling. Hope.
Soon doubt is lost
The feeling of danger becomes a distant nightmare
The darkness grows lighter
The candle burns stronger
Just a shred of light
Can destroy armies of darkness
