A Snow-Proud Day Poem by james watkin

A Snow-Proud Day

A snow-proud day
Cold and loveless.
Unannounced, who, if dropped by
More that, for rain
Would fill hearts, glens, as grievous;
Stalked which complain.

Earth as a corpse
To lay as deep
As stilly frozen, who'd not
Blanch more to see!
Rabbit-faced; and mammoth for
Mammoth, woolly.

Tip-toed madman!
Keep at arm's length.
Summer-bronzed, for what remains
Far-hilled for you.
That strongly deterred! That sure!
The whole year through.
