A Solitude Of Love Poem by Christian Crisostomo

A Solitude Of Love

A butterfly that blooms every Thursday
seems like smiling at me
whenever the blue stars turned
their back on my shadow.

A solitude of love,
a star from heaven,
a smile from your tears
can take away my eyes from the stars.

An hour of your ears,
is a diamond light to my sight;
a stratified phosphorous of the dim light
that turns the carousel of life.

I saw you between the valley
of the orange-sun of the south;
I stoned myself just to see
those pearls between our shadows.

I shout your name
beneath the ocean of tears,
hoping that you will hear my voice,
and the harmonic verse of my soul.

To me, from the wheel of my spirit,
You are a star with an explicable fragrance,
a star from the farthest galaxy:
Away from my sight, near to my heart.

If only I could touch your shadow,
I could tell you how much I love your soul...
But how? How can I? I, m just me...
just a point in the middle of an afternoon downpour.

You are a star that shines
across these cold soundwaves;
a star that fills the emptiness of my heart
and the nothingness of my lonely soul.

I am afraid of rolling these dice,
and come up with odds and falling tears...
But I can never win this ferocious fight
if I don't stand up and walk in that beam of light.

You're a nocturnal waves that flashes to my soul,
You gave me the eternal water
to wash away this deserted thirst
inside the soul of my motionless tongue.

I know that my words
can never be enough to reach you,
or even touch your hearing, or your sight...
but I know that you can feel them!

My blood that I used to write these things
might not be able to penetrate your heart,
or even draw a smile from your lips...
but I know that your soul can feel them!

I always look at the ceiling of the night,
hoping for a shooting star to pass by
so that it could grant my wish:
to be with you at the right time, forever.

I know that this is wrong
for I know that a shooting star can never grant my wish;
Only our Holy Father can tell
if we could be together, or forever.

So I decided to stay
between the horizon and oblivion,
where I can just contentedly watch you
in the sweetest dreams of your lips.

How I love you cannot be expressed
by my words or the constellation of the north;
it can neither be touched nor be seen...
It's the complex thing: You and me.

Finally, allow me to say these:
I'll never run out of reasons to wait
for as long as you heart
beats and resonates with mine.

Reality says, “You're too far away”
but somehow, somewhere between the sand and waves,
I feel that there exists a grain of chance
of being with you!
