A Song For The Guitar Poem by Robert Brendan

A Song For The Guitar

I am not the potter
but I sure as hell
am the potters clay
other words never uttered
'cept for claptrap
emissions
from bus passenger Him
yesterday
people spend years and
martyrdom’s like
devalued currency
to find or build a
decent
place to pray
some masonry and
charitable contributions
their faith made
monument
waste.
