A Squirrel And I By V.N.Giritharan

A dancing squirrel on the branch
of a maple leaf tree.
Through the squirrel and its joyful dance
The beauty of creation could be felt.

What a moment of realization!

The joyful dance of this squirrel
won’t be an eternal one;
It won’t last forever.
Once it will be gone with its dance,
It will be a history.

On the spot where the squirrel dances,
On the spot where the maple leaf tree
stands tall and wide,
Once where powerful giant reptiles might have
roamed.
Mighty kings might have fought battles
for supremacy.
It might have been a royal pond
Where princesses might have swum
with their swaying hips.
The dance of existence of many
life forms,
visible or invisible,
Might have been performed.

On the spot where the squirrel dances,
On the spot where the maple leaf tree
stands tall and wide,
One day super humans
may rule,
But
Nothing lasts eternally.
What we saw didn’t last long.
What we see doesn’t last long.
What we will see won’t last long.

Temporal bubbles of energy.

When the dancing squirrel finishes its dance,
Another one will continue it.

The temporal cycle of life
will continue
eternally.
