A Summer's Day Poem by Michael Peterson

A Summer's Day

Rating: 4.5

To feel the wind blow
Seeing the the sun shine so bright
The feel of grass between the toes
Smelling the scent of beautiful flowers
They are blooming everywhere
Sounds of birds singing from trees above
Chipmunks running around so playfully
Kittens laying in the sun
Puppies playing with each other
Rolling around in the yard
Nature at her best on a gorgeous afternoon
Mothers pushing strollers down the walk
Children playful playing ball across the way
The sounds of laughter in the air
Sitting on the porch drinking lemonade
Soaking in the summertime
Enjoying the relaxation of peaceful times
May it never end, the love of summer
Brings pleasure to all on a summer day
