A Tear Escapes Poem by Ajpw Wiggan

A Tear Escapes

A tear escapes.
Wet, dry, wet.
A journey begins,
Like rain from a cloud of no meaning.

It travels slow,
Gathers speed, slow.
The pulse increases,
Rapid burst of emotions now felt.

I want to feel alive,
and dead I lay.
Heaven and Earth,
Hell and Flames.

Man knows no danger,
But danger knows him.
Rush, rush, hide now.
Easier to run, safer to live...

A tear escapes.
Wet, dry, wet.
A journey begins,
Inside my mind.

The will to fight,
No longer a fight.
The fight to survive
No more.

A tear escapes
The open wound,
Runs down your face,
Hear a cry!

Yours Aj
