now you must understand why he did not
pick you
why your teases remained on deaf ears
why your invitations
remained unanswered
you are too young to be believed at
too fickle
and your lips cannot keep a secret
or perhaps, he loves her so much
that he changed his mind
and promised never to hurt her again
