A Thief's' Facade Poem by Kewayne Wadley

A Thief's' Facade

Without warning she appeared.
Tall for her shape, shimming brown eyes.
Ashamed. No one paid them no mind.
Those shimmering brown eyes.
A topic of conversation.
The things they've seen, migrating left.
Then right
Her charismatic essence.
She's a criminal. Stealing my heart
before my eyes.
I mourn every emotion felt before then.
A wolf in sheep's clothing
Breaking the lock, entering the bank vault.
If her eyes were the last I'll ever see.
I'll be glad of that.
Now playing host of victim.
No longer the witness of her thievery.
Complying to her every demand.
I was her hostage
Essentially I was hers at first glance.
Contributing to each look passed by our eyes.
Unfortunately I blinked and she was gone.
I searched but the pursuit ended
An advocate of deep need.
A thief's facade.
Disappearing without a trace
