A Time For Everything Poem by Gerald Opio

A Time For Everything

Rating: 5.0

Toiling under the sun is part and parcel of us in order to bring food on our table...
As breadwinner of our families, we ought to.
Nothing comes at a silver platter, even luck has to align with effort for it to transpire.
From ages past, toiling under the sun has been the norm.
As it is also well written in the book of ecclesiastes in the Bible,
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
A feast is made for laughter,
wine makes life merry,
and money is the answer for everything.
You who are young, be happy while you are young,
and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth.
Remember your Creator
in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come
and the years approach when you will say,
"I find no pleasure in them".
