A Toast For The Rest Of Us Poem by Neil Stephens

A Toast For The Rest Of Us

This is a toast to life as mine
May you raise your glass for me on high
And say on the day that I die
'Send me on my way and smile
As I have finished the last mile
May tears not well in your eyes
I'll be around you and bring you highs
I will be the breeze that warms your soul
I'll hold you softly and make you whole
May we say these words and call us friends
This is not goodbye, for we'll meet again'
So as you lift you glass to toast
May God's love we all boast
Love and life is treasured wine
