God, let me be Your valentine!
And let my love turn more divine;
My love of world and people's fine,
But let your peace in my heart shine.
My heart is filled with grief, despair;
O God, I know how well, You care;
But troubles often in life stare;
O God, I am Your earthenware!
My birthday has no joy or fun;
For money's sake, the world's on run;
They rule by swords and hand on gun;
In life, my soul needs Your One Son!
Oh, how I abhor wine and gin!
How often I fall into sin;
To world of sin, I care a pin;
O'er evil, I must surely win.
The world I see appears so mad!
It makes my mind and heart, both sad;
Man's selfishness, more problems add;
The righteous too can turn quite bad.
Lord, can I never make a saint?
My soul needs peace and divine paint;
My temptations can make me faint;
Let sin not my soul ever taint.
O Lord, I long to You embrace!
I do not want a mask on face;
Let me walk with heav'nly gaze;
I only need Your mercy, grace.
Lord, can I be Your valentine?
In Feast You've set, I wish to dine;
'Tis time for me to turn divine;
May soul of mine in Your Light shine!
On the eve of my birthday- Valentine's Day
