Joyous and ecstatic,
On the banks of
Mother Ganges,
I didn’t want to look
Over my shoulder,
And wished time
Could stand still,
And with the imprint
Of that moment,
I could just die…
But that is not in
The scheme of things…
For I knew better,
Pain waited in the aisle
With a benign smile…
