I have been living a lie,
A bit of me each day dies…
I have been living in denial,
For that was crucial for survival…
Then one day the shell broke,
Suppressed passions stoke…
Stunned and shocked,
My life of sham, mocked…
It gets worse than before,
You struggle to reach the shore…
On the verge of a break down,
You are afraid will drown…
Once you take less travelled road,
You discover, are alone aboard…
That’s when you surrender
He alone is your anchor.
