Abstractions Poem by Barry Middleton

Abstractions

Rating: 5.0

colors of the sunset
like glowing steel

green of spring
the morning daffodil

purple velvet falling
the curtain of night

a shimmering mirage
heat rising on sand

a gold tinged sunrise
a hopeful sky

earth tones of fall
reflections on water

an argent moon
silver fixed in ebony

pale shroud of winter
silence drifting

We live on a beautiful planet. Sometimes I feel we do not deserve such a perfect place. We abuse it and we abuse each other. Sad!
