Queen Oneeightytwo
ACT II, Scenes IV to VII
-Many moons filled the Queen’s lonely eyes
Holding hope The Return of Her King
Messages of His Conquers
Line Her Chamber walls
Touching the Essence of Him
Relief given
A knock at her door
Yields word of His pending fate
'Marry'? Escapes her lips
Grief stricken the Queen
Prays for guidance Her
Bosom burns with belief
'All is not as it seems'
Consumes her thoughts
The Queen readies her stead
And is off into the night
ACT II Scene V:
The Queen passes a beggar man
Giving him her coat
To withstand his many
Cold and lonely days
ACT II Scene VI:
Traveling further to find
A peasant merchant selling
Robes of the Commoner
The Queen a new
Stripped of all her
Entitlements
ACT II Scene VII:
Seeking shelter her forth night
She hides away
Her new protecting her old
Providing milk, honey and bread
To street children alike
Holding them silent
For they had seen her eyes
The eyes of a Queen,
Theirs!
