Act Ii: Temporal Ragnarok Poem by Insignia Rose

Act Ii: Temporal Ragnarok

Show me where forever lies,
Past Eternity, or this fine line?
The hand of the high, sleep to keep,
your honored souls,
away to keep.

Never is moving down this line,
counting His prey,
To zero this time.
Blinking in surprise, the sun winks out,
As the mortal horseman,
come for a bout.

Eternity returns with a rusty smile,
Never flees, in turmoil.

What becomes of the innocent lives?
What becomes of those that cannot fly?

Their wings are torn, clipped and cut,
and their beaks are violently taped shut,
as Eternity,
Is Never enough...

Forever returns with a bright light,
blinding the eyes, losing their sight.
Insipid shredding of the Will,
Eternity continues but to stand still;

When will it end?
The memory known now...
It refuses
to remember what should be loud.

Time is ending, the present but gone;
As we march onward,
into the Abyss,
of a Song.
