I'm an action figure, I sit quietly waiting to be played with
Hoping that in two weeks I won't be thrown away
So I sit cold plastic and fake not knowing anything
Still hoping that forever I'll stay
I'm an action figure always believed to be cool
Only when the people are around
So when I'm alone and by myself
I sit here stiff not making any sound
I'm an action figure, brown and faceless and naked
But the paint covers me to be someone new
Now instead of being plain and alone
I'm colored Green orange black and blue
I'm an action figure played with only when it is convenient
Never on the days when I want a friend
So I lay here lonely until they come back
Or maybe until I come to a tragic end
I'm an action figure with a heart broke to pieces
First my arms now my legs are gone away
I lay here deserted then finally thrown in the garbage
Now I'll be recycled and hopefully next time around
I'll be there to stay
to be continued...
This, sir, I call a poem. Oustanding and full of human insight. thank you
I like how you gave human emotion to the action figure as the poem progressed. Love the concept, something refreshing and different for a change.10/10
Lots of interesting ideas thread their way through this poem. You've used the rhyming pattern to order the thoughts which gives them a lot of power. Great images transmitted.
A great piece of work Corey which says a lot about our society today...Keep writing.

I think what you are trying to tell me Is that you are not happy with your life And that you are struggling with many things
