Adam And Eve Ii Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Adam And Eve Ii

Of all the creatures in the world,
You are the only one,
That matches me so perfectly,
And fills my heart with sun.

In all the world, I'll never find,
Another like you, you're just my kind.
When I fell asleep, I cannot fib,
I awoke pain free, but missing a rib.

The Earth is beautiful beyond compare.
But I found truest beauty, in you right there.
I opened my mouth and tried to speak,
But I only said 'WOW! , ' my curiosity peaked.

And then I touched your soft smooth skin.
I knew I loved what I felt right then.
I felt your hair and saw you had no beard.
Butterflies in my stomach felt a little weird.

I thanked my Lord for this precious gift.
He said He knew it would give me a lift.
May I never eat of any fruit but thee!
I hope you never find the apple tree!

Beauty's found most everywhere,
The rivers, hills, and lakes.
But nothing quite amazes me
As the smile seen on your face!

I LOVE YOU DARLING!
