Adolescent Artillary Poem by empty shell

Adolescent Artillary

What are you doing?
How many times have I told you?
Why would you do that?
Who do you think you are?
I towered over him,
muscled him backwards,
got into his space
Then slowly, deliberately,
in a low mono toned voice,
I started to crush him
His shoulders slumped,
hands fidgeted,
pupils dilated
A sense of joy
washed over me
My goal almost achieved
Pinnacle in sight
His spirit on the verge of breaking
I had him
I closed my eyes
Let euphoria run through me
Smiling slightly
Feeling the bright sun penetrating my thin lids
I opened my eyes
and in the millisecond before my pupils retracted
I saw it,
a slight flicker
I looked at him and shuddered
A deer in the headlights,
dog in the corner
cat in the rain,
fish in a bowl
How could I?
What am I doing?
How many times have I told my self?
Why would I do that?
Who do I think I am?
