After a Day Poem by Karol Chmel

After a Day

In my own room
I was walking over the bottom, peeping under mirror,
bringing shadows into light, wiping dust
off books with which it was no longer advisable to fight:
for the whole day filled with silence, for the whole
day overgrown, ready to start
over, even falling asleep,
I was thinking,
I was.
