After A Night Poem by Raj Thampi

After A Night

Rating: 4.8

Night is over and day has come
My lungs filled with your fragrance
Lazy gestures and few soft hairs of your
You unknowingly left on my chest

Half opened eyes, I watch you discreet
You moving like a shifting shadow
Sometimes there and, sometimes there
Light kissed, your golden hair

Your eyes reaching for me
I wonder the reasons,
The reasons for secret smiles
Spreading from your lips
Seen in your eyes

A mark of nails on my left chest
A darkened bruise on my shoulder
The moments I melt in you
The velvet softness of your skin
I adore you, within me
I love you, without words

This morning, the most beautiful
The moments, the dear most
Feet away you are
And I miss you within this distance
