After The Orchestra Had Played Poem by Raymond Farrell

After The Orchestra Had Played

After the orchestra had played
Symphony after symphony
In which every note homage paid
To the great Beethoven
The music borne across the air
So filled my being
As if nothing else were there
And I and the music were as one
So much so
That when the silence came again
The music continued to flow
Through every cell of my being.
