Afterglow Of Love Poem by David Harris

Afterglow Of Love

Rating: 5.0

Here in the afterglow of love
I find two hearts tainted
one yours and the other mine.
While we were together,
tempests blew their scorn
now we are apart
calm waters flow again.
The love we had for each other
still burns within our hearts,
but when we are together,
storm clouds drift us apart.
We cannot live with one another
and it’s hard to live apart.
Here in the afterglow of love
the sadness in our hearts
will always remain.
