Ah Halloween Poem by William Mowell

Ah Halloween

Rating: 4.5

Thought it is pretty much over
The screams still fill the air
And though the candy is gone
We still gave them quite a scare

Costumes here and costumes there
Candy lost, and candy found
Candy corn will never be
as popular as Mounds

I still love scaring kids
It makes me feel good
I watch and still love the sight
Of running little hoofs

Fleeting are the double bubble
In the stomachs of the young
Fleeting that taste of pink surrender
Lasting on ones tongue

I was smiling at this, esp. the 'Mounds' line.... -chuck
