Ah Sunflower

Have you ever lusted
over the nudity of a flower
taken it then within an hour
watched it brown and decay in your greedy hands
Have you ever torn a layer
upon another silky flesh layer
of skin thin flower
from a juvenile bud
only to find the death of your love
And grieved at the loss
of your treasured and beauteous thing trust
your thirsty desiring fingers
that have betrayed you with lust
Some things are better left alone
Some things are perfect left alone
But some things you should never leave alone
That would be a sin against life
Ah Sunflower
Child of Nature
smiling and bobbing in the warm summer breeze
how i'd love to crack your stem
drink your serum
and dwell on the smell of your summery scent
how i'd love to die
the death of our sensual quests
one billion times upon your breats
and milk you cream white and lascivious
Ah Sunflower
Eternal linger
Aching desire
For each individual one in a field I hunger
Some things are better left alone
Some things are perfect left alone
But some things you should never leave alone
That would be a sin against life
How I'd love to count
the pluck of your petals
keeping time to the beat
of my sweet singing heart
'She loves me, She loves me not, She loves me, She loves me not'
And why not
She loves me
Ah Sunflower
Yearning pleasure
I wink at you
A measure
A season
A lust
A cinder
For life remember
To grow to the source of all light
To engage the flirtatious beauty in Nature
Ah Sunflower!
Ah Sunflower!

Poem of the Day

poet James Whitcomb Riley

There! little girl; don't cry!
They have broken your doll, I know;
And your tea-set blue,
And your play-house, too,
Are things of the long ago;
