Aid For The Poor

At our social event
in aid of the poor...
guests were satisfied
asking for more
delightful chocolate cake,
cherries and cream;
home-made refreshments
summertime dream.
Cash was flowing
that was for sure,
straight from our coffers
to Africa's door.
