Aircraft From A Child Like Kite To Metal Bodies



iron was to heavy for building planes the first
designed planes were built like a child's play kite
a frame of lightweight wood thin canvas body wings

planes were frail looking fragile wings built for lift
wood steel replaced by aluminium titanium alloys
were new favourite construction materials for aircraft
