Albert Einstein 32 - Letters & Lorentz Poem by Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

Writing a letter on a nice paper,
With a beautiful pen filled with blue ink,
Is like composing a poem!
When the thoughts rush into the page,
Pouring out the emotion into words,
Penning down expressions of beauty,
Painted with excellent handwriting,
Then, is it not a piece of art?

Dr. Albert Einstein was a good writer,
Penning long, interesting letters to his friends,
And cordial, respectful letters to senior scientists.
His passionate love letters to Mileva in his youth,
And then, to many of his love interests -
Became famous and even got printed as books.
For now, we are concerned with Dr.H. A.Lorentz
A Dutch Nobel Prize Winner with much work to his credit.

Albert Einstein exchanged many remarkable letters
With Dr. Lorentz on his research and science theories,
Thereafter, Dr. Lorentz became like a God father to Albert.
Einstein in a letter to Dr. Lorentz wrote:
"My feeling of intellectual inferiority with regard to you
Cannot spoil the great delight of our conversations,
Especially because of the fatherly kindness you show
To all people allows no feelings of despondency to arise."

Dr. Lorentz was an established scientist who had
Formulated the ‘Relativity Theory'.
Einstein took off from that point to establish a logical
Explanation to his theory of why a moving object
Might appear relative to a stationary observer.
With deep respect Einstein wrote to a friend:
"Lorentz is a marvel of intelligence
And exquisite tact. A living work of art."
