All But In Dreams Poem by Jaipal Singh

All But In Dreams

I used to aspire at the dawn of life
To have a ride on Sun's chariot of fire
I used to aspire at the dawn of life
To fly above the seventh heavens.

I had a wish to sail on ocean's tides
In one of those adventurous rides
I had imagined to reach sky high
During the zenith of this very life.

This was envisioned not without you
Then in centre stage of life were you
All this remained but only in dreams
Like your company and love for me.
