All Of The Rampaging Poem by Doris Cornago

All Of The Rampaging

This man is insane, works without let-up
Soon his kingdom is brought down
Took me with him, can't complain
No one's to blame for decisions
Made many, took risks with
My life, so much strife
Did I learn anything
Nothing much
But that
Love
Not
Hate is
What started
All of the rampaging
Waters down streams and
Into homes, a man thinking his
Ways are better than others, competes
Eliminates competition, staying on top until
Someone with a better engine rams his home
Splintering foundations, dreams come crashing down

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A businessman once taught me how to deal my cards in business, and I was aghast at the punitive mindset. There are no rules, he told me, you make the rules as you go, making and unmaking them. Coming from a ministry background, this appalled me, and later attracted me like a moth to light. Of course, business can build lives if there's heart in the owner, but if there isn't and money is the ONLY motivation?
