Alone (3) Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Alone (3)

God’s absence brings the heart to cry
Loneliness, takes its toll
Man’s spirit soon becomes so dry
It hurts the very soul

When Jesus, takes our guilt and shame
We think at last its found
But till we’re clothed once more in flame
We’re never Heaven bound

Though safe and sound in Jesus’ hand
Though life is truly ours
No flesh can ever understand
Behind its lonely towers

The wind of change must surely blow
Our walls must come to fall
The flesh must see why tears flow
Why emptiness grows tall

We need to learn from Adam’s fault
Life’s road, again to find
Accept through Christ, Salvation’s Salt
And season all mankind

Though saying God is truly King
Lord, Lord, we call His Son
No loneliness will take to wing
Until His work we’ve done

For each is called to be a tool
A conduit of light
A house wherein The Lord can rule
And guide us through the fight

Man’s loneliness will find the grave
When Jesus comes again
When Satan and his hoards are slave
Companionship will reign
