Alone Poem by Susan Basile

I am alone in this world,
with no one to help me,
tell me what is right and wrong,
no one to be there,
no one to tell me it will be okay,
and no one to love me.

I have to fight my own battle
in this place called the world,
and this thing called life.

No one is going to help me
get through this,
No one is going to be there
to help me up when I fall.
No one is going to be there
to hold me in my time of need.
No one is going to love me,
the way I love myself.

I don't want anyone,
and maybe that is part of the problem.
I rebel from people,
I push them away when they get to close.
I get scared when I know,
they can know to much.

I am Alone
