Alone Poem by Melpomene's Tears

Alone

Rating: 5.0

On a starless night
when the cold wind howls and bites
when leaves fly and scatter away
I walk alone
the road is empty, my footsteps in echo
the trees dance an ancient dance with the wind
I walk alone
the sea crashes against the shore
venting her fury against the rocks
I walk on, alone
waves of fury beating my soul
the clouds turn dark with anger
I walk alone
thunder shouts his rage across the dark sky
lighting burns herself in seething rage
I walk alone
cold rain pelts me down in helpless passion
drenching me to the dark depths of my soul
I walk on, alone
betrayal hurts more than an arrow
pierced thru the beating heart
we used to walk together,
hand in hand,
heart in heart,
now
I walk alone.

Depressingly mellifluous.... really good!
