Alone With God

Alone with God in the evening
and my innerself feels at peace
from the day that never ends
I offer my prayers on to him
looking for his tender love within
and asking him to forgive all my sins
and for his spirit to settle within
for I want to rest my tired soul and
to be with God as the evening unfolds.
