Along The Motorway Poem by Margaret O Driscoll

Along The Motorway

Rating: 5.0

Storks nests piled on pylons
Along the motorway
A stop to buy handcrafted gifts
From a roadside stall display
Colourful beehives clustered
Near fields of buckwheat
A goat tied to a tether
Keeping a wide grass margin neat
A flock of ducks waddle
Towards a farmhouse pool
Melon wedges sold by the roadside
Juicy, refreshing, cool
