Am I Alive Poem by Laura Holcomb

Am I Alive

Am I alive, or is it all a joke?
Wasn't I just eating, or did I just choke?
What's the point of living,
What's the point of life.
What's the point in misery,
and nothing going right?

These changes are all over the top,
and they will never stop.
Send me a signal,
send me a sign,
that there is a reason,
to this crazy rhyme.

I may seem crazy,
I may seem dense,
because all these words
are making no sense.

It's all over you,
you're making me crazy.
I just wish
you were still my baby.

No, you're gone,
never to return again.
I never meant to do wrong,
I'll be with you until the end.

But for now this life is a joke,
somebody please just wake me up.
So I know I will still provoke.
Goodbye, my love I'm plain fed up.
