Amity Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Amity

Happened
Once upon
A chance
After
Having met
With Myself
Taking
Pleasure in
Prolonged
Talks
Zipped up
Too closed
To it.
Fearing
Out of anxiety
Frightened
Of missing
Missing to talk to
The best person
Of the world
Myself
Being only friend
Of mine
So intimate
That loves me
So sincere and true.
Nattering
Lots of
Shilly-shallying
As my guide
Making me
More exquisite.
Promising
A friendship
Heartfelt
Candid
And blunt
With privacy
Everlasting.

I’m seeking
Forthright
Advice
So precious
No cheating
No deception
And no dejection
Ever since.

Being
Apprehensive
Wary and chary
Mindfully careful
Lest I should
Miss Myself.
