An Aura Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

An Aura

Rating: 5.0

I fell,
Surely I fell on that ominous day
In the deep and infamous well,
I had no way to survive,
Pain and frustration completely grabbed my mind
And I was almost ready to succumb,
Then as my last resort
I called up my inner human pride and strength desperately
Which was really infinite,
It slapped hard my cowardly feelings
And inspired me to know my great strength as a human being,
I was fully awakened,
Suddenly I began to rise and rise,
It was a wonderful feeling,
I was a different soul then
An aura of pride and confidence surrounded my domain,
And I felt I could overcome every obstacle
with great energy and spirit,
Even the high and precipitous mountain too would fall in my feet in an insignificant way.
