An Editor, Please! Poem by Joyce Hemsley

An Editor, Please!

His stories are written with no serious thought
They just flow from his brain in a flash!
Wild inspiration, straight onto the paper
With a comma, a colon and a dash.

Grammar and form are quite futile to him
And his incorrect spellings 'shout out',
But the result of his work is a tale of delight
A great novelist is he ~ there's no doubt.

A printed best seller is needed now
But where is an editor to show him how?
Someone who knows the right from the wrong
Where is an editor to help him along?
