An Elegy to Heart
Heart within heart
Life within life
A hope?
A mirage?
A foolish whim?
Unfulfilled hopes
Testing idealism
Unnerving anxieties
Dark lonelinesses…
Ah!
When love, scarce
When the known, a caricature
When companionship, a test
When heart shatters in silence
When agony performs a ghost dance
Still…
To love as you’re
To love me as I’m
Isn’t that a vain hope?
Isn’t that a mirage
Ah, a foolish whim?
