An Epitaph Speaks Poem by Amar Agarwala

An Epitaph Speaks

Cut these verses into my stone
And let life cast its cold eye,
Until it gathers those living
That they be brought here to lie;

To peruse my sombre lyrics
So sculpted upon their bed,
It is but divine sorcery
Which helps resurrect the dead.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
EPITAPH

Those final verses sculpted on the gravestone has meanings far deeper than which meets the discerning eye. They need to be read from the heart, to understand the spell of magic that lies ensconced in them. We all would need these soothing lyrics someday, for they are sacraments which would match our footsteps until we reach eternity.
