An Icon Poem by Oluwakunle Adeyemo

An Icon

Rating: 5.0

A great ICON,
A ladder that...
Helps us see farther
And clearer.

A woman of substance,
Utilizing every instance,
Breeding and teaching,
Planting and planning.

Seasons come and go,
But you remain stable,
weeding and clearing,
To see germinations.

Your love is enduring,
Your care is loving,
Hoping for the hopeless,
Living for the lifeless.

You are indeed...
A teacher with posture,
A mentor with stature,
An ICON without pressure.
